- Technical and disciplinary responsibility for the Functional Safety Team within BU Electronics
- Definition and derivation of safety requirements on hardware level, creation of the architecture as well as development and approval of the safety concepts up to ASIL D
- Creation of work products according to ISO26262 as well as coordination and review of safety analyses (FTA, FMEDA, DFA, risk analysis)
- Ensuring ISO26262-compliant development in series projects
- Discussion, coordination and defence of development results
- Analysis of new technologies under the aspect of functional safety, e.g. new developments in the field of microcontrollers, operating systems or analysis tools
- A degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable educational background with relevant professional experience.
- Expertise in functional safety according to IEC61508 or ISO26262
- Expert knowledge in power electronics / in the automotive field is an advantage
- Basic knowledge in project management, verification and validation desirable
- Experience in requirements engineering and system development
- Knowledge of embedded software development is a plus
- Experience in personnel management
- Enjoyment of intercultural teamwork
- Very good written and spoken English
- High level of commitment and a strong sense of responsibility coupled with a high level of technical expertise
- Quick perception, communication and moderation skills as well as a structured way of working
